Biography
Marissa Gould, Acting Inspector General for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), began her tenure with the FTC Office of Inspector General (OIG) in 2020, serving first as Counsel to the Inspector General and then as Principal Deputy Inspector General. Prior to her positions at the FTC OIG, Marissa spent nearly a decade as an attorney in the counsel’s offices at the Department of Housing and Urban Development OIG and the U.S. Postal Service OIG. Before joining the federal OIG community, Marissa served as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew J. Peck in the Southern District of New York and was an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx, New York. Marissa received her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law and her B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
