FY 2016 FTC Management Challenges

The Reports Consolidation Act of 2000 requires that the Inspector General provide a summary of our perspective on the most serious management and performance challenges facing the agency and a brief assessment of the agency’s progress in addressing those challenges. The management challenges in this document are based on work conducted by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and discussions with senior leaders at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Quality Assessment Review of the FTC OIG Investigative Operations by the AOC OIG

The AOC OIG reviewed the system of internal safeguards and management procedures for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of lnvestigations in effect for the period ending June 9, 2016. In the AOC OIG's opinion, the system of internal safeguards and management procedures for the FTC OIG Office of Investigations in effect as of June 9, 2016, was compliant with the quality standards established by the CIGIE and the applicable Attorney General guidelines.

Peer Review of OIG
